Website Optimisation: the technical stuff |
Once we know the keywords you are targeting, I can then optimise it to make easier for Google to index it and, appear higher up the Search Results page.
Now, before you read on and think: “Jeez, there’s so much to do and I just thought it was just about keywords!”, don’t worry, these steps are usually pretty quick and can be done while I write your copy. |
Step 1: SEO Health Check
I'll review your website to make sure that there aren’t any technical problems that might be stopping it from being indexed properly by Google. The kind of things I'm looking for are duplicate pages, text not tagged properly, whether you have an XML sitemap and loads of other behind-the-scene-stuff.
Step 2: Website
Structure Review
|
I'll look at the structure of your website to make sure that it makes sense from a customer’s point-of-view. The kind of things I'm looking for are whether the pages are ordered logically, there are clear headlines and linking between the pages, the navigation makes sense and much more.
|
Step 3: Meta
Data Audit
Meta data is the content behind the website page that is crucial to your SEO efforts. Most modern Website Content Management Systems (CMS) make it really easy for you to edit the meta data for each web page. Either way, I'll review all the meta data and make recommendations on how to improve it.
